
Biography :
Oscar Eduardo Álvarez Vidales is a sixth-semester student of Químico Bacteriólogo Parasitólogo at the Escuela Nacional de Ciencias Biológicas, Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Mexico. He currently serves as a Research Assistant for CONAHCYT in the Laboratory of Medical Biochemistry at the Escuela Superior de Medicina. His academic interests include neurology, pharmacology, and biochemistry, with a particular focus on receptor pharmacodynamics within the central nervous system. His research has explored imidazoline receptors, especially the I2 subtype and its association with monoamine oxidase A (MAOA). He has experience in computational molecular modeling and molecular docking using Gaussian, GaussView, and AutoDock Tools. His scientific interests are centered on translational neuropharmacology, integrating in silico approaches with experimental in vitro research to advance the understanding of CNS-targeted therapeutics.
